Editorial independence
Rankings are set by our editorial team using a documented scoring methodology. Operators cannot purchase position.
How we earn
CPA (cost-per-acquisition) and revenue-share commissions paid by operators when you sign up via our tracked links.
FTC compliance
We follow the FTC's "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising" (16 CFR Part 255).
Risk reminder
Prediction market trading involves real financial risk. You can lose your entire deposit. Trade only what you can afford to lose.
1. Who we are
VenicePredictionMarkets is an independent editorial website covering CFTC-regulated event contract exchanges available to United States residents, with a focus on California. We are not owned by, controlled by, or operated as a subsidiary of any prediction market exchange.
2. Our affiliate relationships
We participate in affiliate marketing programs operated directly by — or through networks contracted by — the prediction market operators we cover. Currently disclosed partnerships: Kalshi (CFTC-regulated, 47 states + DC, code VENICE), Polymarket (iPhone-only US offering, 49 states + DC, code VENICE), and Rebet (mobile-only social sports + casino, 40 US states excluding California — listed for readers who travel outside CA only, code VENICE). We may also cover Crypto.com, Sleeper, Chalkboard, Novig, and OG as editorial context, with or without an active partnership. When you click a link marked with rel="sponsored" and subsequently fund an account, we may receive a one-time CPA payment, a share of the operator's net revenue from your activity, or both.
We do not receive your personal information, deposit amounts, trading activity, or account balances from these operators. Operators report aggregate, anonymized conversion data only.
3. How we choose what to feature
Every operator listed on the Site must clear our internal review:
- Currently licensed by the CFTC as a Designated Contract Market (DCM) or operating under a regulated affiliate.
- Verified availability to California residents 21+.
- Funded by us with real money to test deposits, trades, and withdrawals.
- Reasonable fees, transparent terms, and a working customer support channel.
Platforms that fail our review are not listed — even if they offer higher commissions. Examples of platforms we have declined to partner with include offshore sportsbooks marketing themselves as "prediction markets" and unregulated peer-to-peer betting apps.
4. Our scoring methodology
Each operator is rated 0–5 across five categories, each weighted equally:
- Trust & regulation — license, custody of funds, history of enforcement actions.
- Liquidity — bid/ask spreads and daily volume on representative markets.
- User experience — order entry, charts, mobile app stability.
- Bonus value — actual cash value after rollover, not headline number.
- California availability — geo-eligibility and CA-relevant markets (Lakers/Warriors/Dodgers/49ers, wildfires, politics).
5. What does NOT influence rankings
- The size of an operator's affiliate commission.
- Pressure from operator account managers, marketing teams, or PR agencies.
- Free credits, comp accounts, or any non-cash perks offered to our editorial team.
- Sponsored content, paid placements, or "advertorial" arrangements (we do not accept any of these).
6. Bonuses and promo codes
Bonus offers and promo codes shown on the Site reflect the deal we have negotiated for our readers at the time of publication. Operator terms (minimum deposit, rollover, expiration, eligible markets) are set by the operator, not by us. Always read the operator's full terms before claiming a bonus. Bonuses can be modified or withdrawn by the operator without notice.
7. Reader cost
You pay nothing extra to use our links. The commission we receive comes from the operator's marketing budget, not from you, and using our links does not change your bonus offer, fees, or trading terms.
8. Reporting concerns
If you believe a recommendation on the Site is misleading, an operator we cover has changed its practices, or a bonus shown is no longer accurate, please email editorial@venicepredictions.com. We investigate every report and update content quickly when warranted.
