Where are prediction markets legal in the US?
Kalshi's welcome offer is available in 47 states plus D.C. (not Michigan, Nevada or Washington); courts have ordered Kalshi to block sports contracts in Nevada, Michigan and Washington, where other markets may stay open. Polymarket US (QCX LLC, CFTC-designated since 9 July 2025) opened its app to a waitlist on 3 December 2025; it is Not offered in Nevada (state court injunction, 29 May 2026), and its welcome offer is valid in 49 states plus D.C.
