Methodology
Each request hits our live-markets edge function, which fetches the latest events from Kalshi's public API (api.elections.kalshi.com/trade-api/v2/events) and Polymarket's Gamma API (gamma-api.polymarket.com/markets). Volume is reported in USD over a rolling 24-hour window as published by each exchange. We surface only markets that classify into our editorial categories (sports, politics, crypto, celebrities, California) and discard markets with zero or missing volume from this table. Data is not stored — every page load is a fresh snapshot.
